Our tremendous run of form continued at Haydock on Saturday evening, when we had a night to remember. Clare Lindop, the top lady-rider in Australia, who is currently with us on a six-week working holiday, was jocked up for us on Catalan Bay and One Way Or Another, who coincidentally are also Australian imports. Catalan Bay was making her return from a break in the 6f fillies handicap and ran an encouraging race. She travelled like the winner for much of the time until the lack of a recent outing took its toll in the closing stages, with her fading to finish a respectable second to Mango Music. Just 30 minutes later Clare donned the colours of Simon Rowlands to team up with One Way Or Another in the featured 1m handicap. With the leader setting off at an overly-strong early pace, Clare settled our charge beautifully at the back of the field and gradually crept into the race, hitting the front with a furlong to go. Despite wandering about in front slightly, the pair had enough in reserve to hold off the late challenge of Charlie Tipple by a head (see picture below). The win represented a dream start to Clare
