Amy joined us in March 2008 originally as a work rider, progressing to become Head Girl in 2010. She then decided to further her career in 2013 by doing something completely different, Accounting. Amy then went to work for Wiltshire Council to cement her new skills. We were delighted when Amy returned to us in 2015 and she is now managing the operations, staff and finances. With her love for horses she still rides two or three a week when they do their ‘flat work’. Amy also rides in her spare time away from the yard and has just taken on a youngster, Leo.
Irishman David Parkes, is a terrific young lad, very eager to learn. He was apprenticed to JS Bolger in the beginning. He rode 3 winners for Mr Bolger and was with him for 3 years. A talented up and coming jockey with a big future ahead of him, still claiming five. David suffered a broken femur in a stable accident in 2014, but is well on the road to recovery and is now back in the saddle with a few wins under his belt so far, one being Fandango at Epsom. He has also been given the opportunity to ride in Sweden and Denmark of late.
Another Hungarian on the team, Alexandra, ‘Sandi’ as she likes to be called, is a very experienced and talented work rider, pictured here with one of her favorite rides, a young filly called K’gari Spirit. She is also great friends with Aggie and Attila and they all enjoy cooking Hungarian food for the rest of the staff, she too enjoys taking the horses racing.
Attila is also a great asset to the team. He too has plenty of experience behind him and is a great with the colts and young horses.
Agnes and her husband Attila are from Hungary. With over 20 years experience between them, Agnes is a backbone of the yard. She is great with the young horses. She also loves to go racing with her favourites! Aggie and Attila have a son, Balint 13, who is always keen to lend a hand.
Sophie was our weekend yard manager and has now decided to join the weekly roster on a more part time basis, she also enjoys going racing when she can. Sophie juggles this with her young son, Arlo.
